Mariusz Zakrewski, born and raised in Jawor, Poland, began dancing at age nine. His parents supported his passion by providing top-notch training across Europe while he earned a Master’s Degree in Sports Education from the University of Poland. Mariusz competed extensively as an Amateur, winning numerous National Youth Division titles.
At 23, he moved to Germany to teach and compete, becoming a finalist at the Berlin Championship. In 2006, he relocated to the United States to teach at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Connecticut and competed professionally in American Rhythm. In 2008, he moved to Las Vegas, teaching at Delgado Dance Studio and transitioning to American Smooth, where he achieved national and international success.
In 2014, Mariusz partnered with Lynnsay Ray to compete professionally in American Smooth. That same year, he and his wife Theresa opened Elite Dance Studio, a beautifully designed space dedicated to teaching and coaching dancers of all ages.
