Lynnsay has been dancing and loving it all her life! She began ballroom when she was eight, competing in Latin, Smooth and Standard. While learning ballroom she also became proficient in other forms of traditional and modern dance, however her first love has always been ballroom. In college, she was a member of the prestigious BYU formation team, which is the current undefeated United States formation champions. Although Lynnsay has competed at a high level of Latin, Standard and Smooth through the years, her favorite has always been Smooth and in 2014 she won the United States Amateur Smooth Championship.
Lynnsay had long awaited a career in professional Ballroom dancing and in the spring of 2014 that dream came true as she accepted a teaching position at Elite Dance studio and a partnership with Mariusz Zakrewski. Together Mariusz and Lynnsay won Rising Star American Smooth at The Ohio Star Ball in 2015. In 2016 they were semifinalists in the World American Smooth Championship at Embassy Ball and at the Ohio Star Ball. In 2017 they were semifinalists in both the world American Smooth Championship at Embassy Ball and At the United States Dance Champion ships. And in May of 2017 they were finalists at the Blackpool Dance Festival. Mariusz and Lynnsay dance for Elite Dance Studio which is owned by Mariusz and his wife Theresa and cannot wait to share their dancing with the world!
